The Huddersfield Rams Australian Rules Football Club

Formed in Novemeber 2008 (First Season was 2009 season)

Leagues: ARUK Premiership & AFL Central & Northern League

Brief History: The Huddersfield Rams, based at the YMCA Rugby Club in Salendine Nook, Huddersfield, were formed in 2008 by club president Karl Haigh, who was introduced to the sport whilst travelling in Australia. The club has had many England, Great Britain and European international players, as well coaches and other back-room staff being involved in coaching, scouting and developing the national side.


Aspirations for 2014: During the course of 2013 season the Huddersfield Rams fielded more than 25 players who had played less than one season, with development being the main goal. For the coming season the Rams aim to build on this and challenge for the title in the AFL Central and Northern League.
